I started running in 2005 as a way to loose the baby weight I gained after having two babies. I met a running group while training for the Tulsa run who were doing marathon training. I started adding miles and running with them. 11 years, many marathons, ultra marathons, and a bonus baby later, I was looking for something new. I had a friend who was telling me about this Crossfit stuff he did. I was interested but didn’t think I could do it. Last year (2016) finally signed up for a 6 week challenge program at a Crossfit. No idea what I was getting into. It was hard but I worked through most of it. As school started this year the drive was difficult so I started looking for a new place. I came to check out WOR which was 5 blocks from my parents house which was nice. I came and felt encouraged and supported just like I had at the other place. I have been enjoying this new adventure!
My proudest moments:
1. My first thruster pr. 75#
2. First wod with box jumps not step ups.
3. Doing 10 pull-ups with blue band
4. Doing 2 push-ups
5. Finishing 17.1 in time with the first round of box jumps (not step ups)
